This is the 5th question in my interview with Teri Gault, the founder and CEO of The Grocery Game and TeriToday.com.
Has using The Grocery Game yourself changed the way you physically organize your coupons?
Absolutely. I used to clip them all and keep them in a cancelled check file. Now, I keep the sections intact. I shop with the list 7 or 8 times a week (GOOD NIGHT!) and so it’s just easier to go through them and clip what I need in each city.
I keep all of the inserts in a backpack. I call the backpack The Precious and it’s the only piece of luggage that doesn’t get checked and that I don’t let anyone else carry. (I apologize, folks. My notes get a bit fuzzy here because I’m totally having a LOTR geekout moment. We’ll return you to your regularly scheduled interview when I stop doing the LOTR Snoopy Dance.) Without the coupons, The Grocery Game doesn’t work very well, so they are the only piece of luggage I can’t afford to lose.
It’s totally awesome that Teri keeps her coupon inserts intact. Amazingly enough, that’s what works for me too! See?
Have you changed the way you organize your coupons over time?
